Technology for Mental Health

There are hundreds of apps and programs which are designed to help you with your mental health. Below are a list of our favourites and you can download these from the app store on your phone. 

Similarly, you can use YouTube to access resources if you do not have a smart phone.

Please remember that these applications are not replacements for medical treatment. They are simply tools to help you improve your general mental health or alongside treatment.

A free meditation app with thousands of meditations. Used by over 6 million people worldwide to improve their mental health, you can use the timer to do your own meditation or you can choose from one of the many already there.

There are many features to this app including community chat rooms, self-help, online counselling and specific support (LGBTQ+, teen, anxiety etc)

It uses methods from cognitive behavioural therapy to help users to record their meals, thoughts and feelings. Coping tactics and recovery goals are also features of this mental health app
